Stuart Horowitz, PhD MBA, President & CEO, Institution Insights, LLC. Stuart Horowitz has over 35 years of experience leading and building sustainable biomedical and healthcare research programs. His postgraduate career began at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he created and led its first molecular biology laboratory in Neonatology. He next co-founded and led the CardioPulmonary Research Institute at Winthrop University Hospital, on Long Island, NY. After choosing to focus on clinical research, he became the first Director of the Center for Advanced Medicine, part of Jewish Hospital & Healthcare System, in Louisville, KY. Four years later, he ran the Miami Children’s Hospital Research Institute, leading its clinical and translational research program. Dr. Horowitz was later recruited to Huron Consulting Group, where he served for six years – as Director and Managing Director. As a clinical research industry expert and consultant, he advised scores of institutions on building and improving ethical research programs throughout the US and in the Middle East. At the end of May 2012, he joined WCG as President, Institutions & Institutional Services, where he remained for 8 years, playing a pivotal role in the growth of the company. After retiring from WCG in 2020, he founded Institution Insights, LLC, a boutique management consulting company helping with all matters relating to clinical trials at sites, hospitals, and medical schools.
