Sharon Zack, M.S., is currently the IRB Administrator at Westat. She has more than 20 years of experience in designing, conducting, and reviewing research involving human subjects. As administrator of Westat’s Human Research Protections Program, she is the lead contact on all operational and regulatory matters that involve the rights and welfare of human subjects. Ms. Zack manages the day-to-day operations of the IRB office; pre-reviews all human subjects research protocols; approves research that meets criteria for expedited review; and provides training and guidance to staff and researchers. She also serves as an alternate member of the Westat IRB and Westat’s HIPAA Research Officer.
