Andrea Dragan MPH, CIP serves as the Director of Quality Assurance and Evaluation at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her primary functions at Rutgers include leading a robust quality assurance program, monitoring over 8,000 active studies at four different campuses, along with evaluating internal and external processes to increase efficiencies and maintain compliance within the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). Andrea also leads the effort to maintain Rutgers’ accreditation from the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), which Rutgers earned for the first time in December 2022. Prior to Rutgers, Andrea performed a multitude of roles over 11 years within the HRPP of the University of Maryland, College Park, including over six years as the IRB Manager. She received her master’s degree in public health from the University of Maryland School of Public Health and has been certified as an IRB professional (CIP®) for nearly a decade.
