Helen Panageas has extensive experience in the Human Research Protection (HRP) field and brings an innovative thought process and approach to her work. Helen's philosophy focuses maintaining high level of compliance while fostering collegial and effective partnerships with researchers and others in HRP. Proof of Helen’s visionary approach is the significantly changed perception of IRB at NYU Langone Health while maintaining excellent performance metrics throughout the HRP area including IRB, QIA, and External Relations. Over her years of experience in HRP, Helen has served on Steering Committees and PRIM&R planning committees and led a federally funded multisite project on Single IRB best practices as well as serving as a subject matter expert on an NIH workgroup to develop evaluation methodologies for NIH's sIRB policy. Helen is a member of the SMART IRB Harmonization Committee, co-Director of the Regulatory Knowledge and Support area of NYU Langone's Institutional Clinical and Translational Science Award.
