Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health
Dr. Rod Christmas is the Chief Veterinary Officer for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, where Rod leads the global vision that demonstrates BI’s strong commitment to the health and welfare of the animals used in the discovery, development and release of pharmaceuticals and vaccines.
Rod received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University, Masters in Animal Science from Kansas State University and is a board certified Diplomate in the American College of Theriogenology. He has worked as a private mixed animal practitioner, professional services veterinarian and professor of veterinary medicine prior to joining Boehringer Ingelheim.
Rod is a clinical veterinarian at heart and has become an advanced certified professional and executive coach through the International Coach Federation. He coaches practicing veterinarians and corporate executives looking to improve professionally and personally.
Originally from Collins, Arkansas Rod currently lives with his wife Dr. Kate Christmas and their four children in rural Maine where free time is spent fishing, golfing, gardening and attending kids sporting events.
