As the Director for the Office of Regulatory Affairs & Research Compliance (ORARC), Leslie provides oversight and direction for a broad range of research compliance units at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard Chan School), including laboratory and biosafety, animal research, and research misconduct. Leslie is responsible for the Harvard Longwood Campus Human Research Protection Program (HLC HRPP), which serves the Harvard Faculty of Medicine and Harvard Chan Schools, and is principally comprised of the HLC IRB Operations and QA/QI units. As such, she ensures ethical conduct and compliance with applicable federal regulations, state laws, and institutional policies governing human research. Leslie is responsible for regularly evaluating the HLC HRPP; ensuring AAHRPP accreditation remains in good standing, and ORARC's education and training initiatives. Leslie earned her Certification of IRB Professionals (CIP) designation in 2004. She received her BS in Neuroscience from Bates College and her Masters in Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine.
