Brandon Brown is a Professor of Medicine in the Department of Social Medicine, Population and Public Health at the University of California, Riverside. His primary research interest is on ethical issues in HIV research, and he works closely with community partners in every step of the research process. The first in his family to attend college, heearned a PhD in international health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a MPH in Epidemiology from UCLA. He received additional training as a HIV Prevention Trials Network Scholar, at the Fordham HIV Research Ethics Training Institute, and at the Hastings Center for Bioethics. Brandon is a member of his institutional review board, teaches medical ethics, and is a board member of TruEvolution.
