Jennifer F. Lane, DVM, is the Attending Veterinarian and Director of Animal Welfare and Veterinary Services for the Madison site of Labcorp. She has a B.A. in Economics, graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a Residency in Primate Medicine at UC Davis/California National Primate Resarch Center. She has worked for three of the national primate research centers, gaining experience in numerous research areas including infectious disease, neuroscience, disorders of aging, as well as breeding colony management. She has held Comparative Medicine Director/Attending Veterinarian positions for two academic programs. Prior to her current position, she was a Sr. Staff Scientist in Leslie Kean's Cellular Therapeutics and Systems Immunology Lab at Boston Children's Hospital where she was the team lead for all NHP translational research programs. Primary research areas included GVHD and T cell Therapeutics. She has served on the board of the Texas Society for Biomedical Research and the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research. Biomedical research education and animal welfare advocacy are a critical component of her career.
She lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her retired research hound, Griffon and is a hobby photographer.
