Stephanie Kraft, JD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Bioethics and Palliative Care at the University of Washington School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics and Director of Research at the Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics and Palliative Care at Seattle Children's Research Institute. She is also a consultant on the Research Bioethics Consultation Service at the Institute of Translational Health Sciences. Professor Kraft conducts empirical and normative scholarship in research ethics and the clinical implementation of emerging technologies. With her work, she aims to promote clinical and research practices that advance equity in the development, implementation, and evaluation of biomedical innovations. Her current funding includes awards from the National Human Genome Research Institute to examine and improve diverse research participants' experiences of respect in research, and from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences to incorporate Hispanic and Latinx community members' perspectives into the development of mobile health technologies.
