Gencie Turner, PhD, CIP

OHRPP, University of California, Los Angeles

Gencie Turner, PhD, CIP is the Administrator for the South General IRB, one of the two IRBs that oversee SBER research at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She has been with the UCLA OHRPP for over five years, during which time she also served as Administrator on one of the three IRBs that oversee biomedical research. Gencie also serves as a Scientific alternate voting member on the South General IRB. ​

Prior to joining UCLA, Gencie was previously with the University of Southern California and Children's Oncology Group. Gencie has a Doctorate in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research from the USC School of Medicine Department of Preventive Medicine, and has been involved in the Southern California research community for over 20 years.​
