Beth Irwin (MA, LPC, CIP) is an IRB Coordinator with University of California San Francisco’s HRPP, where she works to support the full committee review process. Prior to UCSF, she worked with Northwestern University providing IRB review of exempt and expedited applications, coordinated full committee meetings, and delivered training opportunities throughout NU’s HRPP.
Much of Beth’s career has focused on providing support for youth in her community, including experiences prior to UCSF working as a resident counselor in a juvenile detention facility, high school Psychology & Sociology teacher, and mental health provider specializing in child/adolescent assessment and intervention- which she currently performs part-time with her group practice outside of the IRB world.
Beth earned her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, Teaching Certification from the University of Iowa, and Bachelors from Cornell College. During the random moments in life when she is given time to relax, she enjoys cooking for her framily, camping, reading fiction books, and planning vacations.
