Kelley O’Donoghue is the Associate Vice President for Human Subject Protection and the Director of the Office for Human Subject Protection (OHSP) at the University of Rochester. In this role, she is responsible for directing and managing the University of Rochester Human Research Protection Program, which involves a high-level of coordination with a wide range of offices, committees and senior managers to ensure the preservation of rights and welfare of subjects involved in research. She is responsible for the oversight and support of the:
• Research Subject Review Board (RSRB), which reviews all research conducting by faculty and staff at the University of Rochester
• Research Education and Training, which manages the human subject research training program
• Quality Improvement, which conducts on ongoing evaluation humans subject research studies to ensure compliance
Kelley is a certified IRB professional and obtained a Master in Public Health from the University of Rochester in 2006. Kelley has worked in the field of research for 25 years, holding various positions, including clinical research coordinator, human subject protection specialist, clinical research associate, project manager, and RSRB Director.
