CAPT Kavita C. Dada, Pharm.D., RAC, currently serves as the Associate Director for Regulatory Operations in the Office of Scientific Investigations, at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Office of Compliance. In this role, she leads novel initiatives to modernize global inspections and strengthen oversight of clinical trials for the FDA's Bioresearch Monitoring (BIMO) Program. CAPT Dada serves in a dual capacity as an officer within the U.S. Public Health Service under the U.S. Surgeon General with a mission to protect, promote and advance the health and safety of the Nation. In her former role as Special Assistant to the Office Director, she was instrumental in the multi-faceted program alignment initiative to optimize FDA’s BIMO Program involving the six product centers and the Office of Regulatory Affairs to bring quality medical products to the U.S. market sooner.
CAPT Dada joined the FDA in 2005 as a drug information pharmacist, prior to the FDA she was an ambulatory care pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente, and began her career working as a community pharmacist for six years. CAPT Dada received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Ferris State University, Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky, and maintains an active pharmacy license and accredited regulatory affairs certification.
