Todd Evans (PhD, ATC) is an Associate Professor at the University of Northern Iowa where he teaches in both the Professional Masters and Undergraduate Athletic Training programs, and has served on the University's IRB for the past 16 years - and as the IRB Chair for the past five. As an IRB member, he helped develop the University's safety guidelines for participation in exercise science research. He holds degrees from Slippery Rock University (1992), Indiana State University (1994), and Penn State University (2002) for which he received his PhD in Kinesiology. His teaching and research interest include orthopedic injury pathology, clinical anatomy, evidence-based practice, and outcome instrument validity, and assessing the research evidence related to orthopedic injury.
