Paulnisha Granger-Koonce is a Research Compliance Officer at the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T). Mrs. Granger-Koonce began her career in Research Compliance and Ethics in 2020 as the administrator for both the university’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC). She is responsible for overseeing both compliance committees and managing/coordinating research compliance with local, state and federal regulations, as well as, university policies and procedures. She also collaborates with the NC A&T Graduate College on the pre and post review and approval of Graduate Student Research as it relates to research compliance and ethics.
She served on the grant committee for the recently awarded NIH Grant of $5.1 Million dollars to renovate and modernize the university’s vivarium and continues to serve as a member on the renovation project management committee. She also facilitated the development and implementation of the IACUC module for the university’s electronic research application submission system, InfoEd.
Ms. Granger-Koonce holds a B.S. degree in Biology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a M.S. degree in Dairy Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
