Craig Robinson is the Director, Office of Science Quality and Integrity at the USGS. He has served for the past 35 years as a research scientist (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and on the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory) and in leadership positions in government. More than half of that time was at NSF. He currently serves as a co-chair of the NSTC Subcommittee on Scientific Integrity. Dr. Robinson also worked in the Senate drafting legislation related to scientific integrity, increased science funding, and STEM and K-12 education. He chairs the USGS Diversity Committee (Workplace Equity, Engagement and Excellence Council) and oversees scientific integrity, Fundamental Science Practices, Office of Tribal Relations, Youth and Education in Science, PECASE, IQA, peer review and approval, postdocs, emeriti, evaluation of scientists, laboratory policies, and a program to engage kids with disabilities in science.
