Ning Du, MD, PhD, is currently a scientist investigator at Division of Investigative Oversight (DIO), Office of Research Integrity (ORI), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). She received her MD in radiation medicine and PhD in virology in China and trained as postdoctoral fellow in Chinese National Influenza Center, China CDC. Dr. Du then served as visiting fellow and research fellow in National Heart, Lung and Blood Institutes (NHLBI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) between 2010 to 2018. Her research focused on proliferation and differentiation of T cells and macrophages and their immune responses to influenza viruses in both human and mouse models. Dr. Du joined ORI as a scientist investigator in 2018. Her work at ORI focuses on oversight review of institutional research misconduct in basic science and clinical research.
