Davis E. Henderson, Ph.D., CCC - SLP is an assistant professor at Northern Arizona University. Dr. Henderson’s research of expertise is in the area of Navajo linguistics, Navajo speech & language assessments and development, and psychometrics. At NAU, Dr. Henderson is the director of the Indigenous, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (In-CLD) Language Research Lab. The In-CLD language lab is the very first to 1) investigate speech and language disorders among indigenous children, and 2) the In-CLD lab is the first research lab to be operated by an indigenous PhD researcher and by a group of indigenous research assistants in the field of Speech, Language, and Hearing.
