Dr. Jack Gallifant MBBS MSc is a dedicated postdoctoral researcher at MIT's Laboratory for Computational Physiology, where he focuses on safely integrating artificial intelligence into healthcare. He delves into the complexities of healthcare regulation, causal inference, and machine learning operations to shape a data-centric future that benefits everyone.
Before this, Dr. Gallifant served as a physician in the NHS, completing his foundation training at the Imperial College London NHS Trust. His clinical interests gravitate towards human physiology, a field in which he holds a Master's degree from King’s College London, focusing on personalizing mechanical ventilation.
Dr. Gallifant is also an honorary researcher at Guy's & St Thomas NHS Trust, where his research endeavors are dedicated to predicting patient deterioration and recalibrating deployed algorithms. He is an active member of MIT Critical Data, sharing and gaining new knowledge and skills with physicians and data scientists through evaluating clinical data and creating inclusive and equitable algorithms.
